HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. —
A Hardin County father is facing charges after a gas relief method he learned from social media sent his 2-month-old to the hospital.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office said they received information regarding a 2-month-old infant admitted to Norton Children’s Hospital with three bilateral rib fractures in the process of healing.
The Sheriff’s Office and Child Protective Services met the mother of the child at the hospital. She identified the father of the child, 26-year-old Austin Webster, as a potential suspect.
Detectives at the sheriff’s office and CPS went to Webster's house to interview him.
During the interview, he told the detectives the infant had been having gas and bowel issues and was given instructions for relieving those issues during a medical check
