An alarming theft has taken place at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhopal, where several units of blood and plasma have reportedly been stolen, according to a police report.
The theft came to light following a complaint lodged by Dr. Gyanendra Prasad, the in-charge of the AIIMS blood bank, which prompted police action. The authorities registered a case against an outsourced employee, as blood and plasma units had been vanishing for an extended period, revealed Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Kashyap Koul.
