A string of thefts in Marshall County led to the arrest of Jonathan "John Boy" Rodman, a suspect already known to local law enforcement. The thefts happened early on Sept. 29 with incidents reported on Breedwell Road and Pea Ridge Road.

Homeowners discovered their vehicles had been tampered with, prompting a review of security footage. The footage revealed a male suspect, later identified as Rodman, wearing a face covering.

Rodman, connected to other theft cases in Scottsboro and Guntersville, evaded capture initially by fleeing into the woods. However, on Oct. 1, he was found unconscious in a vehicle in DeKalb County and taken into custody.
