The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is hosting a unique group of space campers during the first week of October.

The program is dedicated to making space camp accessible for everyone, including 142 kids with visual disabilities.

For Sarah Combs, a visually impaired camper, the experience of watching a rocket launch is extraordinary. "It’s so cool to see a kit made rocket launch up into the sky and see it come back down," Combs said. "I really loved it."

Combs, who has albinism, is one of the many campers feeling at home during this special week. "Everyone is so welcoming to each other, they help each other and it just makes me feel at home," she said.
