Zubeen Garg Death Case: The duo was arrested late Thursday night by the SIT following prolonged questioning by CID officials.

Drummer Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and singer Amritprabha Mahanta have been remanded to 14-day police custody after being produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (Kamrup Metro) this morning. The duo was arrested late Thursday night by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) following prolonged questioning by CID officials.

Their arrest brings the total number of individuals held in connection with the ongoing investigation to four. Earlier, Shyamkanu Mahanta — organiser of the Northeast India Festival in Singapore — and Zubeen’s manager, Siddharth Sharma, were apprehended from Delhi and the NCR by separate Assam Police teams after midnight on October 1.
