Panaji: Goa Startup Policy 2025 was rolled out last week with an ambitious vision to establish 1,000 startups in the state, generate 10,000 jobs for Goans, and build a robust ecosystem by linking entrepreneurs with venture funding, government collaboration, and partnerships across industry stakeholders, incubators, and academic institutions.

The spokesman of the State Information Technology, Electronics, and Communication said that, aspiring to be India’s Creative Capital, Goa is rapidly evolving into a technological and creative hub.

“It is now home to 696 DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade)-recognised startups, which is among the highest per capita in the country,” he said.
