During his visit to Colombia, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sparked controversy with his remarks on vehicle weight and electric mobility at a seminar held at EIA University. Addressing students, Gandhi questioned why a motorcycle weighs around 100 kg while a car typically weighs about 3,000 kg, despite both serving to carry passengers.

“To carry one passenger, a car requires 3,000 kg of metal, whereas a 100-kg motorcycle can carry two passengers. So why is a motorcycle able to carry two people with just 150 kg of metal while a car needs 3,000?” Gandhi asked.
