Despite the acquisition of Tom De Koning and re-signing of Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, St Kilda have suddenly hit turbulence with Jack Steele standing down as captain as Rowan Marshall officially requesting a trade to Geelong.

It marks a sad end to Steele’s reign as skipper with the pride-shattering call coming with a suggestion from the club that he look at playing options with a rival next year.
