COLUMBIA, S.C. — Today through Saturday is starting off dry across the region , but some changes are on the way as we move into Sunday and next week.

High pressure is keeping conditions dry today and Saturday, with a steady northeast breeze occasionally gusting near 20 mph. Temperatures will be pleasant, ranging from the mid-70s across northern areas to the low 80s farther south.

Tonight, lows will dip into the mid to upper 50s. A few more clouds may move in overnight, but the air remains too dry for fog to be a concern.

Saturday is shaping up to be the better of the two weekend days, with mostly cloudy skies and seasonable temperatures. Sunday, however, will bring a shift in the weather pattern. Winds will turn more easterly, allowing moisture to return to the area.
