Cathy Noschese has been named the new vice president and news director of KDKA-TV.
Ms. Noschese, who’s been with the station for more than three decades, will oversee the day-to-day operations, strategy and editorial direction for the station, according to a CBS Pittsbugh news release. She starts the new role Oct. 5.
Ms. Noschese said she is “honored” to have the opportunity to lead the newsroom.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve already done and energized by the opportunity to build on that legacy to serve our viewers with the trusted local journalism they count on,” she said.
During her tenure at KDKA-TV, the Post-Gazette’s news partner, Ms. Noschese has guided coverage of major news events, including 9/11, the mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in 2018 and the attempted assassin
