EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - On Friday, Evansville-Vanderburgh Central Dispatch employees are coming together to support EPD Officer Sam Taylor.

As we’ve reported , Officer Taylor was badly hurt after being shot in the line of duty last month.

Dispatchers say they’re planning a fundraiser cookout to support Taylor and his family.

They say for $10 people can get a hamburger or hotdog with chips, a drink and dessert.

Meanwhile, happening this Sunday, Prime Time Pub and Grill is helping Officer Sam Taylor by donating a portion of all sales to Officer Taylor’s recovery fund.
