BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) won't accept cash payments anymore starting Nov. 1.
The state department explains that it is part of an initiative to improve the efficiency of payment processes. The change is already in effect at other regional offices, including Alexandria, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport.
The Baton Rouge office will accept checks, credit cards, debit cards and money orders.
