South Park Inn shelter in Hartford has spent the past 40 years helping people experiencing homelessness.
In March, we reported that homelessness in Connecticut jumped 13-14%, with a significant increase in seniors experiencing homelessness.

Employees, advocates, and people who have experienced what South Park has to offer call it more than a shelter.
“We want them to have a decent experience while they are experiencing homelessness,” Jyreek Ellerbe, the director of operations at South Park Inn, said.
He took us on a tour of the facility, walking through South Park, which was eye opening.
