France legend Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca has received his first international call-up - with Algeria.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper represented France at youth level but not in the senior set up, leaving him eligible to switch allegiances.

And now Luca has opted to switch to Algeria through his father’s heritage despite being born in the French city of Aix-en-Provence.

Luca is the second of four brothers with Enzo, Theo and Elyaz all coming through the Real Madrid academy.

Could Luca play at the World Cup with Algeria?

The switch was approved two weeks ago by FIFA leaving the shot-stopper with an increasing chance of playing at next summer’s World Cup.
