MICHIGAN CITY — Police say two young men and a juvenile, carrying a handgun modified to act as fully automatic weapon, robbed a customer at an area gas station by shoving a gun in the victim's face and telling him to "get out of the car."

The three made off with cell phones and a wallet, but were caught a short time later while on foot, according to charging information.

The accused are identified by police as Marcus Ballinger Jr., 18; Travon Coleman, 20; and Tristan Martin, 17, who is charged as an adult.

Ballinger is charged with armed robbery and carrying out a crime on behalf of a street gang while armed with a deadly weapon, records show.
