MADISON, Wis. — Despite reports from another news outlet, Madison police are refusing to answer if ICE took action in Madison yesterday.

Another media outlet said Korrie Rondorf told it ICE took action in the city yesterday. However, Rondorf repeatedly refused to confirm and that and would not answer any questions about ICE being in the city.

Centro Hispano of Dane County posted on Facebook that seven people were detained in a targeted enforcement operation on Madison's northeast side.

The local nonprofit reported that the arrests took place at a single residence Thursday morning that ICE had targeted.

Despite ongoing rumors of ICE activity in Madison, Thursday's incident is the first confirmed presence of ICE in Wisconsin's capital.
