“The goal of this evening is to inform and educate each of you in an impartial setting, on an even playing field that’s fair to each candidate,” said Rick Kraft, moderator of the Leadership Roswell Alumni Association 2025 Candidate Forum, held Tuesday night at the Pueblo Auditorium.

New Mexico and federal elections will be the focus when the forum returns in 2026. However, Kraft emphasized that he’s heard numerous others state that local elections are more important than the rest because “They affect our communities and directly impact each of us more than the state and the national elections.”

Kraft encouraged people to vote, but also asked them to motivate other people they know to participate in the upcoming election.
