GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WATE) — After closing for emergency slope repairs, Cherokee Orchard Road will reopen at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 3.
The closure began on September 22 to fix a slope failure in the 500 block of Cherokee Orchard Road. The closure was set to last two weeks and crews from Blalock Construction completed the project in 12 days. The Gatlinburg Street Department also helped to finish the asphalt, expediting the reopening of the road.
