Four candidates looking to represent Pueblo City Council District 1 took the debate stage at Pueblo Community College's Hoag Theater on Oct. 1.

Answering questions from moderator Sara Blackhurst, candidates Elvis Martinez , Kassidy Hall , Dianne Danti and Tiffany Estrada discussed economic development, the closure of the Xcel Comanche 3 coal plant, the city's budget shortfall, and sales tax. One of the four candidates will be elected on Nov. 4 to occupy the seat currently occupied by Regina Maestri , who is running for an at-large seat this election cycle.
