TRIMBLE COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) - A Trimble County Ambulance went off the roadway and now the community is rallying around the most seriously injured EMT.

According to officials, the accident happened on Highway 42, outside Bedford at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

An ambulance with patient transport went off the road. The ambulance was was run off the road by a vehicle. As the ambulance rounded the curve, there was a car in their lane.

All three EMTs on board and the patient were taken to the hospital.

The most seriously injured EMT is Johnathan Wilson was flown to the hospital from the scene.

Wilson suffered back and shoulder and arm injuries; is still in the hospital.

He works for Trimble Co EMS; part time at Bedford Fire and Rescue and is fulltime Ky Dept of Corrections officer at Luther Luc
