OZARK, Mo. — Work to rehabilitate two Christian County bridges is set to begin this weekend, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced.
Construction will start Sunday night, Oct. 6, on the Route CC/J bridge over U.S. Route 65 in Ozark. Crews will install dual left-turn lanes from eastbound Route CC to northbound Route 65 as part of the project. The eastbound lanes over the bridge will be closed for up to 30 days, with signed detours in place. Westbound lanes will remain open, and ramps connecting CC/J to Route 65 will not be affected.
Work on the U.S. Route 160 bridge over the Finley River in Highlandville will follow on Oct. 15. That project will keep the bridge open, but drivers should expect narrowed lanes, reduced speeds, lane closures, and traffic shifts during constructio
