The state’s Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health is stepping down from her role leading the department following a tumultuous year at DMH, which saw proposals for significant job cuts , a vote of no-confidence in its leadership and a forced return-to-office policy .
Brooke Doyle, who has been the leader of the commission for five years, will resign effective Oct. 6. She informed DMH staff of her departure in an email Friday morning.
