KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — From the Alcoa Highway closure to bridge work in Loudon County, 6 News anchor Bo Williams is breaking down what drivers in East Tennessee need to know before hitting the road this weekend.

Beginning Saturday, October 4, all northbound lanes of Alcoa Highway, between John Sevier Highway and the University of Tennessee Medical Center, will be closed. All roadwork is anticipated to be complete by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7. The roadwork and closure would be rescheduled to the weekend of October 18 if inclement weather occurs.
