FLINT, MI – Police are investigating a shooting in Flint’s Carriage Town that left a boy in critical condition.

The Flint Police Department responded to the shooting at 4:56 p.m. on Oct. 2, according to a news release from the department.

The shooting took place at the corner of Garland Street and 2nd Avenue in Flint.

Officials identified the victim as a “male juvenile,” who was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Another male juvenile has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, according to police.

The Flint Major Crimes Unit, composed of the Flint Police Department and Michigan State Police, is leading the investigation.
