NEW YORK (PIX11) -- As autumn officially kicks off, some may already be curious about what lies ahead for the winter season.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released its 2025-2026 winter outlook, providing predictions for seasonal temperatures and potential precipitation patterns.
While seasonal predictions may give us an indication of what we can expect, meteorologist Sam Collentine warns that "long-range forecasts are rarely accurate."
