CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Randy Brown and Kim Schmidt of Breast Cancer Dollars and Coins joined WCIA's Mitchell Rife to talk about an upcoming event.

The organization is putting on the 2025 Pink October Fundraiser Concert at the City Center in Champaign on Oct. 18. The event is about promoting breast cancer awareness and leveraging the power of classic rock music to support a good cause.

Brown discussed how many classic rock songs have titles that are inspirational, and how the organization has linked those songs with breast cancer awareness. This year's event will begin with a 1980's themed dance party to get the energy cranked up.
