GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Senior High School Marching Band is fine tuning their performances as they get ready for Harvest of Harmony.
This year, the band is under the leadership of Dr. Evan Lee, who said preparations have gone well so far this year.
Lee said there are 72 freshmen in the marching band this year, and the student leadership has taken them under their wing to show them how to perform in the band.
“The student leadership is really a vital part of what we do,” Lee said. “They’re the ones who are working with the individuals personally, individually and as a group. They do a great job. They have a great relationship with those kids, and they help create that family atmosphere that we want.”
