HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says the contractor working on the U.S. 41-A widening project in Madisonville intends to block KY 1018, also known as Baldwin Drive, early next week to begin construction of a new intersection that will align with the future path of the widening roadway.

The KYTC says Baldwin Drive, which runs in front of the KYTC Hopkins County Maintenance Barn, is the roadway that serves as a connector between U.S. 41-A and Bean Cemetery Road. Crews plan to block the roadway at approximately 8 a.m. on October 6 and reopen it to traffic around 3 p.m. on October 8.
