HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A second person has died on Huntersville roads Friday.

Medic reports that one person was killed and another has serious injuries from a crash on Beatties Ford Road on the west side of town. The Huntersville Fire Department says the road was closed beginning at 2:45 p.m. between McIlwaine Road and Jim Kidd Road, and will remain that way “for some time.”

Drivers are asked to seek an alternative route.

This comes after a person was killed crossing Gilead Road near Interstate 77 Friday morning.
