GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Several local families are getting their first look at their new homes. Habitat for Humanity hosted a Rock the Block event on Friday at their newest homestead in Green Bay.

There’s a popular saying: “A house is made of bricks and beams, a home is made of hopes and dreams.”

For 13 new homeowners, today is where two years of hard work finally becomes reality.

“It’s watching our dreams become reality for my kids and myself,” said Angela Posenke, a new homeowner.

Habitat for Humanity’s 13-home homestead brings the organization’s total to 15 homes built this year. It’s something they say they hope to do every year moving forward.
