Construction on Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s University Line project is spreading from Oakland into Uptown with several new long-term closures.

Beginning Monday and through the end of the year, drivers will be unable to park on either side of Forbes Avenue between Gist and Jumonville streets, as well as outbound on Forbes between Jumonville and Brady streets, as crews replace a sidewalk.

PRT had already prohibited parking inbound between Jumonville and Brady last month, and that restriction will remain.

Construction will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, with occasional work on Saturdays.

Pedestrians will be able to use temporary crosswalks and ADA-accessible ramps during the disruptions.
