U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem posted video Friday showing her being denied entry to the Village of Broadview Municipal Building as she arrived in the Chicago suburb to visit an ICE processing facility that has been at the center of weeks of protests.

But the village said the video didn't show the full story.

In the social media footage, which begins partway through the encounter, Noem, who had earlier been seen at the Broadview ICE processing facility, is seen standing in the doorway of the Village Hall as someone asks a man behind the door if they can "use the restroom."

"No you cannot," the person behind the door replied.

Noem and the group then walk away.
