PRINCEVILLE, Ill. (WMBD) -- Princeville High School was in the national spotlight Friday night as the only school in Illinois named to the Top 25 in T-Mobile’s nationwide Friday Night 5G Lights competition.

During the school’s homecoming football game, T-Mobile presented Princeville with a $25,000 check at halftime, celebrating the community’s achievement.

Out of more than 2,100 schools across the country, Princeville now stands among the top finalists and is one step closer to the $1 million grand prize.

Principal Rich Thole said the recognition reflects not just the students, but the entire community.
