VAN BUREN, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — An Alma man was sentenced Oct. 2 to 30 years in prison for sexual assault against a minor.

According to court documents, Anthony Kuykendall, 38, pleaded guilty to five counts of second-degree assault that were committed over the course of multiple years.

Kuykendall was also given a 20-year suspended sentence. He was originally charged with a habitual offender offense, but that count was dropped as part of the plea deal. The Arkansas Department of Public Safety records show he is registered as a level 3 sex offender.

According to court documents, the victim told police that Kuykendall had touched them inappropriately since they were seven years old until they were 12 years old.
