FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin will visit the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith on Monday, Oct. 6, for the campus’s One Pill Can Kill training.

The program, part of a statewide initiative led by Griffin’s office, aims to educate students on the dangers of fentanyl-laced counterfeit pills, according to a news release.

The training begins at noon in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center and will cover recognizing overdose symptoms, administering naloxone (Narcan) and accessing prevention resources.

A 10 a.m. press conference with Attorney General Tim Griffin and UAFS Chancellor Terisa Riley will address the initiative directly and broader opioid-related issues.
