REPUBLIC, Mo. (KY3) -There’s plenty of pumpkin to go around at Pumpkin Daze in Republic.

The two-day festival brings fun for the whole family. It features over 300 booths, vendors, live entertainment, and of course, the ever-popular giant pumpkins, fruits, and veggies.

Saturday morning will be the big pumpkin weigh-off, where farmers bring their giant pumpkins to be weighed in for the contest.

“I love seeing the kids come in, anxious to see the pumpkins,” said Cheri Hamilton, VP of Republic Pumpkin Daze. "Pumpkin Daze is a tradition now. You see grandparents bringing their kids and their grandkids. It’s just a large community event."

Saturday’s festivities go from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at JR Martin Park. The annual fall festival has been going strong since 1992. For more information, click
