THIEF RIVER FALLS — A windy night didn't deter East Grand Forks' Jakob Stassen-to-Jaxon Stassen connection.

The brothers hooked up three times for touchdown passes as East Grand Forks cruised in the second half to beat Thief River Falls 41-14 on Friday night.

The Stassens scored on touchdown passes of 20, 21 and 42 yards.

"Jaxon had been injured a little this season," East Grand Forks coach Ryan Kasowski said. "When he's back, he's a really solid wide receiver for us. Those two have thrown the ball around a lot growing up their whole lives. Jake putting it on the money in a really heavy wind was impressive."

After a 7-7 tie after the first quarter, the Green Wave built separation as special teams took over the game.
