BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — According to North Dakota state leaders, around 1,400 people are released from prison every year, and thousands more serve time in county jails. But there are programs set up to help people as they try to adjust to life outside a prison cell.
Today, Ministry on the Margins supervisors hosted its citywide reentry resource sharing event. There were people from more than two dozen public and private groups on hand today. They say their goal is to offer resources and services to men and women after their release, which may include helping them find a place to live or a job.
Nathan Mickelson, the Director of the Prison Reentry Program at Ministry on the Margins, shared what their nonprofit is all about.
