Disturbing new details have come to light after a mother and her young daughter were found dead inside a luxury Airbnb in Brisbane.

The bodies of the 54-year-old mother and her eight-year-old daughter were found by police just after 12pm on Monday after they were called to conduct a welfare check at the rented homestead on Tinarra Cres in Kenmore Hills.

The mother has since been identified as a prominent Brisbane anaesthetist from Norman Park.

She had worked across multiple hospitals, including the Princess Alexandra.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Princess Alexandra Hospital said they extended their “deepest sympathies to all those affected.”
