CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Canton McKinley Bulldogs defeated the North Canton Hoover Vikings in a thriller, 21-20, on the road Friday night.

A Hoover missed extra point proved costly, as Canton McKinley moves to 6-1, 4-0 in Federal Conference play. With the loss, the North Canton Hoover Vikings fall to 6-1, 3-1.

The Bulldogs entered the week ranked No. 13 in Cleveland.com’s Top 25 , while Hoover was ranked No. 23.

“It wasn’t a good win necessarily, we made a lot of mistakes,” said McKinley head coach Renzy Parnell. “The good thing is that we found a way to win, and we learned some hard lessons with a win, instead of learning them with a loss.”
