Bhubaneswar: As part of efforts to bolster preparedness and response mechanism to deal with natural calamities, the Odisha government has decided to construct a state-of-the-art Disaster Management Building in Bhubaneswar.
Preparations are almost complete for setting up the proposed advanced disaster management office in the capital to be constructed at a cost of Rs 200 crore, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said. ADVERTISEMENT
The project, to come up near Lok Seva Bhawan in the state capital, is expected to be completed within two years, he said.
The multi-storey structure, with underground facilities, will house major offices responsible for managing natural calamities.
