NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A driver was seriously injured on Saturday morning after colliding head-on with a tree in Norwalk, the local fire department said.
State police and the Norwalk Fire Department both responded to the Route 7 connector between exits 2 and 1 at around 5:19 a.m. for the collision.
At the scene, fire crews began extrication measures, and the occupant was freed within 28 minutes. They were taken to Norwalk Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
No additional information on the victim was shared.
The crash remains under investigation by state police.
