A man was seriously injured after crashing head-on into a tree in Norwalk on Saturday.

Emergency personnel responded to a single-car crash with heavy entrapment on Route 7 in Norwalk early Saturday morning, according to the Norwalk Fire Department Local 830 .

First responders located the vehicle in the center grass median of the Route 7 connector in the area of Exits 2 to 1, fire officials said. Initial reports from Connecticut State Police indicated that there was a single occupant trapped in the vehicle.
