ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a 21-year-old is dead after her car struck the back of a tractor-trailer.
ALEA says Elizabeth B. Barnes was driving along U.S. 411 near the 223 mile marker about four miles north of Gadsden around 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2.
According to ALEA, Barnes’ 2017 Lexus NX hit the rear of a Freightliner tractor-trailer which left her with critical injuries.
ALEA says Barnes was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Gadsden where she ultimately died from her injuries.
