NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Emergency crews are conducting a rescue operation in a wooded area near a Nashville highway, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

NFD said they received reports of a parachute jumper in distress in a wooded area about two to three miles off of the Ashland City Highway on Saturday afternoon.

Metro Nashville Police personnel told WSMV at the scene that a plane carrying several skydivers was in the area at the time of the report.

MNPD said the skydiving instructor and a client jumped out of the plane.

At this time, crews have located the client, who is stuck in a tree. Crews are still working to find the instructor.
