GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - Thomas Hunn Jewelers is celebrating its 40th anniversary in downtown Grand Junction, marking a significant milestone for the family-owned business.

Founded in 1985 by Niki Hunn's father, the jewelry store has become a staple in the community, known for its unique pieces and international clientele.

"My father came in 1984, came with Paige Parsons, and things didn't work out quite the way they planned, so they parted ways," said Niki Hunn, owner of Thomas Hunn Jewelers. "And my dad opened up Thomas Jewelers in 1985."

In 1993, the store expanded by purchasing a credit union building for under $100,000, allowing for further growth and development. The store boasts clients across the nation and worldwide, such as Italy, Africa and Russia.
