An 18-year-old Brit who was jailed in Dubai after a 'holiday romance' with a 17-year-old girl has died in a car crash - just three months after his release from prison.

Marcus Fakana, now 19, was accused of having a sexual relationship with the girl and was sentenced to one year in a jail in the territory.

He died in the early hours of Friday morning following a collision in Tottenham, north London . He had been the passenger in a vehicle and was rushed to hospital with "significant injuries". He died a short time later, the Mirror reports .

Police said Marwaan Mohamed Huseen, 18, of Tottenham has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a license and failing to stop. He will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrate
