ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - In a reversal of her previous actions, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has agreed to testify before a Senate committee looking into her historic 2021 indictment of President Donald Trump.
“She has agreed to testify in front of our committee, to honor our subpoena,” said Sen. Bill Cowsert (R-Athens), who chairs the Special Committee on Investigations.
Sen. Greg Dolezal, who sponsored the legislation establishing the special committee last year and serves as its vice chair, said Willis would respond to the subpoena on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. with limited questions.
“I think it’s a good thing, her being the center of attention so much. It’ll be good for her to come and give her side so to speak,” said Harold Jones (D-Augusta).
