NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: Nashville Fire crews were able to get the stuck skydiver out of the tree, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

NFD said they had to position multiple ladders to reach the skydiver in order to rescue them.

MNPD said the skydiving instructor is still missing, and emergency crews continue to search for them.

Earlier: Emergency crews are conducting a rescue operation in a wooded area near a Nashville highway, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

NFD said they received reports of a parachute jumper in distress in a wooded area about two to three miles off of the Ashland City Highway on Saturday afternoon.
