AUSTIN (KXAN) — Florida dominated the trenches on both sides in the first half, taking a 19-7 lead over No. 9 Texas into halftime Saturday in Gainesville, Florida.
The Gators held the Longhorns to 87 yards of offense, including 24 rushing yards. On offense, Florida is moving the ball at will with 263 total yards and possessing it almost twice as long as Texas, 19:51 to 10:09.
Three of Texas' five drives ended with punts, one of which was blocked through the back of the ned zone for a safety to make the score 19-7 with 3:52 remaining.
